Thank You for an Incredible Year!

As 2024 draws to a close, we are filled with gratitude for everything we’ve achieved together. This year has been remarkable, with milestones like:

Unforgettable performances: South West Cheer Competition, Big Night Out, Chance to Dance, our annual pre-school Christmas Show and of course our annual Studio Showcase; Lights, Camera, Dance!
We've welcomed new classes, programs, and faces into our studio.
Had amazing Easter and Summer dance camps...not to mention the spooktacular Halloween Dance filming!
Witnessing countless personal victories, from mastering new skills to stepping on stage for the first time. Celebrating our junior teachers and assistants as they’ve grown into inspiring leaders.

End-of-Year Awards Celebration

As another inspiring year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible talent and spirit within our DanSci community. At this year’s show, we had the privilege of celebrating our annual End-of-Year Trophies—a tradition that recognizes the outstanding achievements of our dancers and embodies the core values we hold dear. While these awards are usually presented at our Christmas Party, this performance felt like the perfect occasion to honour these milestones with all of you present.

We are thrilled to announce this year’s six Studio Trophy winners, each selected for exemplifying one of our studio’s guiding principles: Diversity, Attitude, Nurture, Science, Community, and Integrity. Congratulations to Alice Findley, Ruby Goddard, Natalie Taylor, Martyna Wojtczak, Helen Webb, and Katie Ebrell for inspiring us all through their dedication, kindness, and resilience. We also proudly presented Aspiring Dancer Certificates to six more remarkable students—Eliza Baker, Grace Littlejohns, Kara Walmsley, Katie Crawshaw, Polly Taylor, and Willow Gunn—who have shown immense growth and determination throughout the year.

This year has been especially meaningful, as we were honoured with the Rising Youth Leader Award at the 2024 Youth Services Development Awards. This achievement reflects the passion and dedication of our staff and assistants, who are the true heartbeat of DanSci. A heartfelt thank you to our entire team and to you, our wonderful community, for your ongoing support. We couldn’t do this without you

Let’s keep the applause going for all our dancers, staff, and families who make DanSci such a vibrant and inclusive place to be.

A special thank you to Miss Helena for her years of dedication as she heads into a well-deserved retirement. Finally putting her feet up in 2025!

We’re stepping into the new year with renewed energy and exciting opportunities, including:

New Classes: Stay tuned for announcements in fitness, technique, and specialty styles for pre-schoolers, youth classes and adult sessions.
Competitions & Performances: Get ready to shine on stage and in the spotlight.
Community Initiatives: Expanding our outreach programs and workshops to make dance accessible to all.
Workshops: Deep dives into topics like choreography, acro techniques, and injury prevention.

Holiday Schedule

The studio has now closed and reopen at 1pm, 6th January for classes.
Adult classes may adjust schedules for a gradual ramp-up to support our teachers.
Our admin team will also be on holiday during this time, so responses to messages will resume in January.
Reminder that babyballet invoices for the new term were due by today (22nd Dec)

We will continue to review class placements into the new year as we assess the timetable. we appreciate your patience while we make sure everyone is the most suitable classes for them.
