Express & Echo Business Award winner up-scales local business
Ava Barron Thomas, Entrepreneur of the Year winner of the Express and Echo Awards 2017 says exposure from the prestigious awards helped secure the investors needed to expand the successful DanSci Dance Studios in Exeter.
DanSci Dance Studio has been running children’s and adults dance classes for over 5 years in Exeter, proud of their status as one of the counties only registered Fit to Dance spaces boasting professional dance facilities for the City of Exeter to enjoy. The business is delighted to expand into new premises on Summerland Street 5 times the size. They now offer three professional dance spaces with sprung Harlequin Dance flooring, audio systems and air control. Not to mention the launch of the new dance wear shop and the juice ‘barre’ where dancers and non-dancers alike can enjoy a healthy smoothie or cheeky shake!
Ava is also the artistic Director of the prestigious dance studio “I really believe that winning Entrepreneur of the year in the Business awards gave us the recognition that as a creative industry we also have a viable, profitable business. It is a huge privilege to be able to offer facilities that gets Exeter residents more active and rivals the professional facilities of other great cities. Moving to this end of town where there is so many exciting developments happening has been a real boost too. We have seen footfall increase and we’re super proud to have been able to increase the number of jobs and apprenticeship’s we can offer”
After a successful launch party on Saturday 22nd September where the deluxe hot chocolates may have stolen the show over the taster dance classes; DanSci Dance Studio are happy to announce that they are open for children’s, adults dance and fitness classes, venue hire, parties & functions and of course new dance shoes and a smoothie!
