Hello DanSci Families!

We’re diving into November with plenty of excitement and gratitude for our wonderful community. Here’s a look at everything happening this month and what to keep in mind as we prepare for our upcoming shows!

🎃 Spook-tacular Halloween Fun! 🎃

Our Halloween Dance Party was an absolute blast! Thank you to everyone who came dressed in fantastic costumes and joined in the fun. We loved seeing so many spooky dancers enjoying themselves on the dance floor. (Video to come soon—stay tuned!)

 🌟 Stunning Performances at the Northcott 🌟

We are beyond proud of all our dancers who performed at the Northcott Theatre! Not only did you shine on stage, but your backstage etiquette and teamwork were a credit to all the hard work you’ve put in. It’s a joy to see how supportive you are of each other, and we can’t wait to watch you dazzle audiences again soon!

🗓 Countdown to Show Day - Important Info! 🗓

With only a few weeks left, now is the time to ensure every dancer feels ready to perform their best. Attending all lessons and rehearsals is essential, as it helps build confidence, coordination, and timing with their fellow performers. This week, we’ve completed our second venue visit and are finalizing details. Expect more information soon on sign-in/out procedures and stage logistics.

Backstage Volunteers Needed: To keep everything running smoothly, we still need more volunteers for both backstage and front-of-house roles! If you’re able to lend a hand with costumes, set changes, or ushering, please consider signing up. Miss Ava will be contacting all current volunteers this weekend to go over roles, duties, and any necessary DBS checks.

🎟 Show Tickets & Photo Shoots 🎟

Don’t forget to book your tickets for all our upcoming performances! There’s nothing like seeing our dancers supported by their friends and families in the audience. And for those interested in capturing memories, photo shoots are now open for booking—with special slots available for our adult ballet dancers, too. Family portraits are always a highlight of the season!

Show Tickets!

 Twinkle bears, ballet shoes and tap shoes are in stock in our shop. Whether getting show supplies of cute Christmas presents, head upstairs before, during or after your classes.

A little note to any of our tappers in the show. You must have your own tap shoes to do the tap dances as we do not have enough spares for the whole school to borrow on the day! We keep a stock in the studio or you can check out our website or the babyballet website for little tap shoes

📅 Adult Classes Continue Through Late-Night Shopping 📅

Even as late-night shopping kicks off in the city, our adult classes continue as usual! Whether you’re a regular or a newcomer, don’t miss out on your chance to stay active and unwind through dance.

🌟 Stars of the Week, Cirque Stars & Theory Course Completers 🌟

Congratulations to our Stars of the Week, those completing Cirque levels and to our incredible assistants who have recently completed their theory courses! Your dedication is inspiring, and we’re so proud to have you as part of the DanSci family.

🎄 A Note on Christmas Prep & Volunteer Opportunities 🎄

The holiday season also means costume packing, washing, and organizing post show!

As we prepare for the big wardrobe move during the Christmas break, any volunteers willing to lend a hand are more than welcome. In return, we’ll keep the hot drinks flowing—thank you in advance for helping us wrap up this year’s production with a little holiday cheer!
