Welcome to October at DanSci! We’ve got lots of exciting news, events, and updates to share with you all this month, so grab a cuppa and get cozy. 🍂
Upcoming Events: Join us if you dare for our spoooktaular Halloween Dance day!
Celebrate and dance the day away. Children aged 5-12 years (No need to be a DanSci member) can join us for spoooky treats, dance routine to be filmed into our own spooky downloadable Halloween dance movie, games, disco, crafts
Costumes are encouraged and there will be prizes for best (or worse!) dressed attendees!!
This years Halloween party will be the event of the season. Don't miss out, limited tickets avaliable
🌟 Supporting Our Teen Dancers at the Northcott Theatre! 3rdNov 2024
We are so excited to announce that some of our incredibly talented teen dancers have the opportunity to perform at the Northcott Theatre this year as part of the Chance to Dance event! This is a fantastic platform for young dancers to showcase their skills on a professional stage, and we couldn’t be prouder. If you’d like to support them, tickets are available. Let’s cheer them on! 👏
🎟️ Show Time!
Our BIG shows are just around the corner! Rehearsals are in full swing, and we’re so proud of all the hard work everyone’s putting in. Tickets go on sale for both our annual showcase; Lights, Camera, Dance! and the preschool Christmas show extravaganza from 9am 14th October, so make sure to grab yours before they’re gone! 🎉
Attached is our Show Handbook for the DanSci show, full of all the important details you need to know—rehearsal schedules, costume reminders, and everything in between. babyballet and LilBeatz stars keep an eye out for updates in the next couple of week son your performance, and if you’ve got any questions, just let us know!

👗 Ballet Class Reminders: Just a quick note for our ballet parents! Please make sure your child has the correct ballet shoes in either pink or their skin tone—no black or white shoes, please! Additionally, all dancers should wear proper ballet tights to class. For our older dancers with multiple costume changes, we also recommend investing in a skin-tone bodysuit, especially if they need extra coverage and support. This will help make costume changes quicker and more comfortable, especially for those with a larger bust. Check out our shop online or in the studio for information and fitting.

We want to make our café the best it can be, and we need your help to do it! Whether you’re a regular customer or just grab a coffee on the go, we’d love to hear your thoughts. October is ADHD Awareness Month, and we’re excited to share some of our latest blog posts about neurodiversity in dance. Head over to our website to read more about how we’re creating an inclusive space for dancers of all abilities. Let’s celebrate the wonderful diversity in our dance community!
🩺 Big Shoutout to Our Assistants!
A huge well done to all our dance assistants who recently completed their First Aid Training! 👏 You’re all absolute stars, and we’re so proud of the effort you’ve put into keeping our studio safe for everyone.
🌟 Achievement Board
This month, we’re back with our Achievement Board Awards! We love celebrating your hard work, the board is award during classes for dancers who’ve gone the extra mile in class.
📜 Lockdown Policy Update
In case you missed it, we recently shared our updated Lockdown Policy and Procedures with all parents. These important safety measures help ensure the studio is a safe place for everyone. You can find these, along with all our policies, on our website.
